I am using IE11 with Win7
Is there a way to block the annoying pop-up demanding every time I Google something to "install chrome" at the top of the screen.

That's the problem... I did. I have both installed, but whenever I use IE (which I prefer-believe it or not) it won't stop popping up anyway.

I know the little message you are referring to, suggesting you run faster by using Google chrome. Unfortunately I have not found any solution that prevents that message on the google search page.

  • On your computer, open Chrome.
  • At the top right, click More
  • Click Settings.
  • At the bottom, click Advanced.
  • Under 'Privacy and security', click Content settings.
  • Click Pop-ups.
  • Turn Allowed on or off.

Thnx Bestazy, but as mentioned above in the original, this is happening in Internet explorer. I have chrome loaded on my machine but prefer to use IE because (Believe it or not) I'm using a computer I bought in... 2005!!! and IE uses up less system resources than Chrome...

Thnx for taking the time to try to help tho...
Jet.
