Years ago I changed the name of my laptop PC from P*B to D830-laptop. Recently I decided to add a second user account to prevent me from surfing the web as administrator. Now, when I start up windows it asks for the password to P*B rather than the password protected administrator account or the renamed user account (which is not password protected). I want to delete the P*B but it does not exist. It is such a pain to have to switch users each time I start the laptop up. I cannot find anywhere on the laptop with that user name. It is probably buried somewhere deep in the registry, but I don't know where to look. Any help would be great. Thanks.

When you renamed I think it just creates an alias so P*B is probably the same as D830-laptop.

You should be able to set it to login to the User account automatically ...
