Hi, I love Windows Media Center, I use it everyday. I have religiously tagged all my ALBUMS to be as I want them. When I play them, I get that lovely background of all my album arts slowly tracking downwards as the waterfall wallpaper.

BACKGROUND:
The other day, I decided to add all my SINGLES to my Music Library. I added them with the performer's name as the Artist and Album Artist tag and ~Singles~ for the Album tag. Media Player/Center created a separate ~Singles~ tile for each artist. That was too much, it was clogging my browsing. I changed Album Artist to ~SinglesArtists~. That helped, but if the album art differed, it still tended to create separate tiles. So I embedded the same album art (an image that said "Singles") into all 1200 files. That worked. One tile for all 1200 songs under Artist or Album.

PROBLEM:
When I went to play anything, the album art background waterfall becomes mostly that Singles image. Yes, I have 1200 singles files, but I also have about as many album files as well. But nope, instead of that beautiful, colourful mishmash of all my albums, it was 80% this Singles image.

I removed the Singles folder from my Music library for now, and thankfully, the Singles album art immediately disappeared, it's back to just albums.

I would like to have all my singles in the Media Center library, because it would be nice to browse and listen to them via remote control.

I wish there was a toggle for each folder included in the Music library: Show album art in Waterfall or not. I have no idea how to proceed. Any ideas? First world problem.

Solved from advice from Tim De Baets (http://www.bm-productions.tk) on another forum.

Removed the album art for all 1000 singles files via MP3 tag.

No more image of that "Singles" album art in the cascading waterfall. It's as simple as that: if there is no album art associated with a file, it doesn't show in the cascading waterfall. So obvious.

I don't keep album art nor use media center so I wasn't even sure what the "waterfall" was but thank you for providing the solution in case someone else finds this thread while searching for the same problem/solution.

Yes, that's what I thought, TM. Knowledge for the future.
In case anyone is wondering, the "waterfall" (heh) is the slowly moving background of all your albums in the Now Playing screen of Windows Media Center. It can look quite colorful and nice.
Since I started investigating, I guess I can see that XBMC is sorta the logical successor to WMC but still... WMC was free with Windows 7, supported live TV, Internet TV, all your media, you could use a nifty WMC remote control... I certainly love Windows Media Center. Sadly, Microsoft doesn't seem to care, I don't think there is any further development going into it.
