Hi everyone! Rookie here; I'm writing because I have an Acer Aspire R11 (T3-131), specs below message.
I had this computer whose hard disk failed, loosing all data on it and becoming inoperable. As the rest of the hardware was OK, I just used a SSD instead of a HDD, and looked for a brand new Windows 7 DVD shrink-wrapped box (but the outer black cardboard, just the plastic box was wrapped). I checked DVDs, holographic tags, distinctives and even the pamphlets for authenticity, and turns out it was a genuine one as the Microsoft Counterfeit Guide depicted.
But, long story short: I'm stuck in activation.
I lost internet acess due wi-fi card's generic drivers are not compatible with the card's model and there are no official drivers for my PC's make and model (and unofficial ones potentially hiding malware or backdoors as checked with virustotal.com) [I'm writing from my daily driver laptop]. And anyway, activation servers for Windows 7 seem not to work anyway, so I used twice the activation MS phone. Both times generates a link, I access through my phone and enter the 9 groups of 4 numbers, leading to a 'An error has occured' page. I called an MS agent, and when they checked, they say my copy of Windows is 'blocked' (textually). Naturally, I was not expecting this and freaked out; asked the agent if there could be any system log, code or anything alike that might point out the reason of the blockage, but just said a shy 'no' and sent me to visit my trusted technician. So here I am: what can be happening? What can I do?
I blindly guess and if I'm well informed by the internet, since it came with Win10, a previous license number might be still attached to the motherboard?? Just an idea because I don't actually know what happens. I'm 11 days away from finishing the grace period, but I'm afraid the end of it might make more difficult to solve the problem and authenticate my copy (which, again, was bought on a well-reputated place, is original, and I'm interested in complying with authentication and not bypass it because I don't want to contribute with or involve in pirating). What can I do?
Anything that might be useful about this, as giving more techincal data or how the hard disk change, formatting or install process was done, just ask; I'm listening and answering as soon as possible
I'm all as nice as I can be and I don't mean to beg, harass or anything, just I'm bewildered at this and asking for help. If something in my wording or phrase construction doesn't sound good (both gramatically or tone-conveying), sorry, is my dumb english from a non-native and as well-meaning I can be.
Thanks for your attention and patience, have a great day
