USB Hub crashes Windows

I have an odd problem with Windows 7 that I can fix :banghead:

If I have my USB hub (and external USB drive) plugged in to my laptop when I shutdown, the PC crashes and restarts, so I can't shutdown properly!

My drivers are all up to date and I have done a clean install and the same thing happens

I don't know what this could be, but I have a few suggestions that might work:

• Try a different USB Port
• Update your BIOS
• Check you are using the latest chipset drivers for your motherboard

In the end I got a new hub and it works fine now, I tried your steps but it didn't change anything Thx for the advice anyway! I have bigger problems now with my PSU not working.
