Updates installation

With about 3 weeks to go before Win 7 updates and support will stop, I would like to know if my updates (Software Distribution folder) can be copied/pasted from a backup, to a clean install of Win 7, for future us? Would all these backup's be recognized by Windows and automatically be installed?
