I thought it would be useful to write e walkthrough of how I customise windows 7, after a raw install. It works for me but may not be to everyones taste!
If you start messing, remember that backup/image!!!!!

Thanks davehc!
I used many of your tweaks on my 32bit windows system with 2GB ram. A noticeable increase in performance speed. It won't be hard to get used to the lack of animation.
Good stuff in that .rar file.

It pleases me that you liked it. ! Not so many viewers, so , as I said, maybe not everyone wantds to go through with it. Windows 7 does, after all, run pretty sweetly straight out of the box. Perhaps I should have pointed out that those "tweaks" will help improve performance on a marginal specs computer.

It is meant to be basic. If anyone wishes to go further than that, I am more than willing to help. But that which I have outlined will not get the newbie into trouble.
