Hi brkkab123,

this issue is often caused by the "Windows Modules Installer" service not running/starting.
try the following:
- from the start menu, type "services.msc", and press enter
- in here, find the "Windows Modules Installer" service
- check if it's startup type is set to "manual", and if not, double-click the service, and adjust the startup type
- if startup type is already on "manual", try right-clicking the service, and start it.

Try running SFC again

I did as you suggested and I got the same message while trying sfc /scannow. It was set to Manual already, but wasn't started, so I clicked on start before retrying sfc /scannow. When I was in Safe Mode I did full scan's with SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes'. Both came up clean. I also ran CheckDisk on my ssd and it came up with no errors found.
