Hi,

Ive ordered a student version of windows 7 professional edition, upgrade. However, i have opted to download the install file and burn it to disc. Given the option, i chose 64 bit and my computer should be fine running in 64, but if it doesnt work out, can i use my serial with a 32 bit disc instead?

Also, will microsoft allow me to download the 32 bit disc as well as my 64 bit disc?

Many Thanks

IIRC, the serial is the same for x86 and x64 so you can use the 32 bit version if you need to. I would stick with 64-bit if your PC can handle it though.

Yes, im on 32bit currently with 2gb of ddr3 ram - its annoying and hoping to upgrade to 8gb ddr2 (hence the 64bit requirement) - if they will fit next to my Thermalright IFX-14.

Thanks for your help
