The "-smp" switch or any other switch can be added during setup when the "Additional Parameters" question is asked. You also have the option to add the parameters within the shortcut properties.

Yes, that is correct.

Example:
"D:\Client SMP-2\Foldinghome-Win32-x86.exe" -smp

Just remember to use the -smp in EITHER the setup OR in the shortcut, not both. I'm not sure if it causes issues but better safe than sorry.

Luckily, it doesn't seem to. It just means the client runs with "-smp -smp" but that doesn't appear to mess it up.
