Hopefully this will make sense.

Whether having multiple Window Explorer folders or say Firefox sessions opened I would like to have one folder showing for each. Currently for say Windows Explorer if I have 3 different separate folders open then in the Taskbar I see the folders overlapping.
Is there a way instead to have 3 actual folder icons?

Thx in advance.

Right-click on the Start Orb and choose properties. Select the Taskbar tab. In the middle "Taskbar buttons" choose "Never Combine". However "The option to disable similar programs grouping on taskbar (for example Internet Explorer) has been removed" from W7, in case that is what you were wanting.

Features removed from W7
