Hi People. Havin a problem with operation Flashpoint 2 & win7 64bit. when I launch the game everything runs fine up to when I load the first mission. at this point the game crashes to desktop with the message "game.exe has stopped working". This makes no sense to me as I have been running this game on this Rig for a month now with no problems whatsoever. I have been running the game through a 9600gt gpu but it sadly died a couple of weeks ago which meant I had to step down to my previous 8600gt. This is where I believe my problem lies although I have checked the game requirments and the 8600gt easily fits the requirments needed. can somebody please shed some light on a possible solution to this very annoying problem?...

My system specs are as follows.....
------------------------------------------------------
OS:- Windows 7 ultimate professional 64bit build 7600...
Asus M3N78 SE mobo...
AMD x64 dual core 5200 2.7ghz cpu...
Giel ddr2 2x2gb Dual channel setup...
Sparkle 8600gt 512mb ddr2 gpu...
SoundBlaster 24bit audio...
Saitek Gaming keyboard...
OCZ Equalizer gaming mouse...
LG W2242S 22" lcd running at 1280,1024 60hz (desktop rez)...
winpower 750watt gaming psu (all voltages reading ok)...

All drivers fully updated, all temps reading within normal tollerances.

Other High end games that are running fine are as follows...

Dragon Age origins, Modern warfare 2, Borderlands, Mass Effect, Crysis, Crysis Warhead, Bioshock, Velvet assassin,Assassins Creed, Dead Space,

You get the Idea yeah? All help greatfully received...
Massive thanks in advance...

ReaperXL2...

Btw, I have tried all the usual compatibility tweaks with no positive results.

Hi ReaperXL2

Your 8600gt fits between Minimum requirements and Recommended >

I would suggest a higher GPU :)
