Not confused at all this time, Fire cat. Makes sense and might try it but current network configuration works fine. Just wasnt sure whether I needed both the Workgroup and Homegroup. Now know both are not necessary and one can be deleted; just too many folders around.

For #1 Not having the userid on the other computers to work you may need to adjust this setting:


I would say try it w/o and change this if you have issues.
