Step 1. Open Boot Camp Assistant ("Applications" > "Utilities"). Set the size you would like allotted to the Windows drive, you will need at least 10GB. Select "Partition" to create the Windows partition.

Step 2. Select "Start the Windows Installer" once the partitioning completes. Click "Continue."

Step 3. Select the newly created Windows partition and click "Continue."

Step 4. Insert the Windows installation disc into the Macintosh computer and click "Start Installation." The system will boot into the Windows installation disc.

Step 5. Follow the on-screen instructions to move forward with the installation. Select "Disk 0 Partition 3 BOOTCAMP" when asked which drive to install on. Select "Drive Options (advanced)" and click "Format." The drive must be formatted for Windows with the NTFS file system. Select "OK," "Next" to proceed with the installation. Once complete, the computer will restart and load Windows.

Step 6. Insert your Mac OS X Install DVD. Open the disc via Windows Explorer and double-click "Setup.exe." This will install the necessary drivers to allow Windows to interact properly with the Apple hardware.
