Deleting Files

Unless I'm missing something obvious, if I want to delete a file in Windows 7, I
have to right click on the file then click on Delete in the drop down menu.
Windows XP used to have the big red X up in the menu bar. Is there an option to
place a delete selection in the menu bar or is right clicking then using the
drop down menu the only way to delete files in Windows 7? Thanks.

Try the 'Delete' key.

For multiple files make the selection first.

No. That's one choice, but there are others. Here are three other
common choices:

1. Drag it to the recycle bin.

2. Click it to select it, then press the Delete key.

3. Run CMD, then delete it via the DOS command DEL.

I'm afraid not, that big red X is now under the "Organize" drop menu only.
