I randomly get BSOD 0x0000003B. I tested my memory with memtest86 and HD tune but it didn´t found any errors.

Why I get BSOD?

I have a:
Sandy bridge core i7 2600 3.40GHz quad box
Sandy bridge / GA-Z68MA-D2H-B3
4 GB DDR3 1600MHz Corsair Vengeance X2
HDD 1TB 7200 RPM (SATA 3.0)
GeForce GTX 670 2 GB GDDR5 256-bit

Let's try to catch it with Driver Verifier.

(Borrowed from Zigzag3143 posts)
Driver verifier

Quote:
Using Driver Verifier is an iffy proposition. Most times it'll crash and it'll tell you what the driver is. But sometimes it'll crash and won't tell you the driver. Other times it'll crash before you can log in to Windows. If you can't get to Safe Mode, then you'll have to resort to offline editing of the registry to disable Driver Verifier.

So, I'd suggest that you first backup your stuff and then make sure you've got access to another computer so you can contact us if problems arise.
Then make a System Restore point (so you can restore the system using the Vista/Win7 Startup Repair feature).

Then, here's the procedure:

  1. Go to Start and type in "verifier" (without the quotes) and press Enter
  2. Select "Create custom settings (for code developers)" and click "Next"
  3. Select "Select individual settings from a full list" and click "Next"
  4. Select everything EXCEPT FOR "Special Pool", "Force Pending I/O Requests" and "Low Resource Simulation" and click "Next"
  5. Select "Select driver names from a list" and click "Next"
  6. Then select all drivers NOT provided by Microsoft and click "Next"
  7. Select "Finish" on the next page.

  • Reboot the system and wait for it to crash to the Blue Screen.
  • Continue to use your system normally, and if you know what causes the crash, do that repeatedly.
  • The objective here is to get the system to crash because Driver Verifier is stressing the drivers out.

If it doesn't crash for you, then let it run for at least 36 hours of continuous operation.

Reboot into Windows (after the crash) and turn off Driver Verifier by going back in and selecting "Delete existing settings" on the first page, then locate and zip up the memory dump file and upload it with your next post.

If you can't get into Windows because it crashes too soon, try it in Safe Mode.
If you can't get into Safe Mode, try using System Restore from your installation DVD to set the system back to the previous restore point that you created.

Let us know how you go.

Then you need to find which stick of RAM is faulty. Are you OK with removing and testing each stick of RAM?

RAM stick in Slot 1 call it RAM Stick A
RAM stick in Slot 2 call it RAM Stick B

Test: Each Test MUST be done at least 10 times.

  1. All RAM in PC - You have already done this one!
  2. Remove RAM stick from slot 2 (Stick B). Test the RAM stick in Slot 1 (Stick A)
  3. Remove RAM from Slot 1 (Stick A) and place Stick B in slot 1.
  4. Place Stick A in slot 2, now all RAM is in the PC and test.

This will take a while but it is the only way to find a fault in the RAM or in the motherboard RAM slots.

EDIT: Probably best to print or write the test sequence down.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask

I am still concerned about the errors you got when you first tested the RAM.
So could you please test the 4Gb again to see if the error is still there.

If the errors are still there then maybe the RAM will not work with that motherboard.
Or the timing are completely off which are causing the problems. In which case please get screen shots of the Memory and SPD tabs in CPU-Z. www.cpuid.com

Anyway that latest crash is from FireFox.......maybe!
The quick and easy fix for firefox is to disable the Add-ins and see how it goes.

The problem is that the errors I got with the Memtest are associated with the Memory menagment 0x0000001A BSOD that I rarely get. The System Service exeception 0x0000003B BSOD problem is what really annoys me, but I will run the tests again.
