Windows 7 / Internet Explorer 8 / Remote Web Workplace

Received a Dell Vostros 1520 laptop with Windows 7 Pro 32bit and IE8 with
256 cipher. I am unable to connect to SBS2003 Remote Web Workplace. Can
happily connect via workstations with WinXP and IE7 and IE8 (with 128 bit
cipher). Searched the web and find some other mention of this problem but
no solutions. Have tried all the following multiple times in different
combinations without success... reset the defaults in IE8, added the web
site to Trusted Sites, disabled the Windows Firewall, disable security
restrictions in IE for activex and scripts, and put IE in compatibility
mode. I am able to reach the Server and log on. Next, when a target
computer is selected, I do receive the pop up asking for approval to install
the 'Microsoft Remote Web Workplace' activex control. When approved the
first time it is not asked for again. But the login stalls at this point
and the activex control does not appear in the 'manage add-ons' (not under
any of the 'show' categories). There are no error messages in the Server
logs or the laptop.
Any suggestion greatly appreciated.

Have seen the same issue

I have been looking into this for a couple sites as well. Virtually no info so far on this. I have 2 systems that have this exact issue, and today found a windows 7 system (Pro version) that works just fine connecting to the same SBS 2003 server with RWW.

I will be trying to determine what is happening here and post back on this.

I am seeing this problem as well. We have a client that is trying to do a RWWP connection from a Win7 Business to an SBS 2003 machine, and it fails. You can get other non Win7 machines to connect to it.

Have the same Issue

RWW on Windows 7:
Works right up until I hit connect. Then the page I am on simply refreshes. Never connects.
Tried 64 bit IE. That at least throws an Error: "ActiveX control requires 32 Bit IE:"

Note that everything works fine in my XP virtual machine on the same computer.
