If you've burned a regular CD ISO then burning a DVD ISO is not that
much different. The main difference is ensuring you have the software
that is capable of doing the task. If you know it can, then you simply
open the ISO with your burner software and tell it to burn... oh and
naturally you must use a blank DVD. :)
Like the ISO burner built into Win7?
Just click on an ISO file and it will ask you if you want to burn it.

Thanks for the tips guys. I guess the main thing is the same as burning a
CD, make sure you select ISO image or you create a coaster. :-D

NOW you tell me, after I wasted all that money on CDBurnerXP :)

Thanks for the info - I hadn't noticed that. Next time I'll use the W7
version just for fun.

Hi, Andrew.

I'm running Win7 Ultimate x64. When I open a Command Prompt window and type
Dir C:\notepad.exe /s /a, I get SIX files!

<paste>
Directory of C:\Windows

07/13/2009 08:39 PM 193,536 notepad.exe
1 File(s) 193,536 bytes

Directory of C:\Windows\System32

07/13/2009 08:39 PM 193,536 notepad.exe
1 File(s) 193,536 bytes

Directory of C:\Windows\SysWOW64

07/13/2009 08:14 PM 179,712 notepad.exe
1 File(s) 179,712 bytes

Directory of
C:\Windows\winsxs\amd64_microsoft-windows-notepadwin_31bf3856ad364
e35_6.1.7600.16385_none_9ebebe8614be1470

07/13/2009 08:39 PM 193,536 notepad.exe
1 File(s) 193,536 bytes

Directory of
C:\Windows\winsxs\amd64_microsoft-windows-notepad_31bf3856ad364e35
_6.1.7600.16385_none_cb0f7f2289b0c21a

07/13/2009 08:39 PM 193,536 notepad.exe
1 File(s) 193,536 bytes

Directory of
C:\Windows\winsxs\wow64_microsoft-windows-notepad_31bf3856ad364e35
_6.1.7600.16385_none_d5642974be118415

07/13/2009 08:14 PM 179,712 notepad.exe
1 File(s) 179,712 bytes

Total Files Listed:
6 File(s) 1,133,568 bytes
</paste>

I don't know if any of these are 32-bit, but they are all a part of Win7
Ultimate x64. Note that 4 are 193,536 bytes each; the other 2 are 179,712
each. All are dated 7/13/2009, but the smaller ones are time-stamped 25
minutes earlier.

Win7 Ultimate x86 has 4 copies of notepad.exe, 179,712 bytes each and
time-stamped 8:14 PM. Two are in Windows and Windows\System32; the other
two are in folders with long names starting with Windows\winsxs\x86...

Note that all of these are in the Windows folder tree, NOT in Program Files
or Program Files (x86).

Does this help any?

For software compatibility testing purposes.
You might be better off running a 32-bit version as a virtual machine
under the 64-bit version, then. There's very little to tell the
difference between the 32-bit version and the 64-bit version visually,
so running it virtually will let you keep track of the 32-bit version.
