kk, I didn't know that you didn't have to delete the old ones....

The last BSOD didn't create a Minidump file.

Any idea how to get those Nvidia Nforce lan drivers updated?

Download my attachment then extract. Copy the .sys file and paste it at C:\Windows\System32\drivers then reboot. It will fix the NVIDIA lan.

kk did that. Thanks :)

Got another BSOD, I was on my desktop with a program running that was DL'ing content for World of Warcraft, after about...5 mins, it crashed. Here is the dump file for that crash.

Yes, it could be a memory issue.

Same issue with SI drivers exists.

SiWinAcc SiWinAcc.sys Thu Jun 14 20:02:27 2007 has not been updated.
SiRemFil SiRemFil.sys Wed Jun 20 16:06:09 2007 has not been updated.

Present files that need update:

Code:
8c3e7000 8c3ef000 SiRemFil (deferred)
    Image path: \SystemRoot\system32\DRIVERS\SiRemFil.sys
    Image name: SiRemFil.sys
    Timestamp: Wed Jun 20 16:06:09 2007 (467988B1)
    CheckSum: 0000D370
    ImageSize: 00008000
    Translations: 0000.04b0 0000.04e4 0409.04b0 0409.04e4
Code:
start end module name
8bdf1000 8bdf4100 SiWinAcc (deferred)
    Image path: \SystemRoot\system32\DRIVERS\SiWinAcc.sys
    Image name: SiWinAcc.sys
    Timestamp: Thu Jun 14 20:02:27 2007 (4671D713)
    CheckSum: 000117C1
    ImageSize: 00003100
    Translations: 0000.04b0 0000.04e4 0409.04b0 0409.04e4
The new driver dates would both be 10/3/2007:

http://www.siliconimage.com/docs/3132_x86_1.0.22.4_logo.zip

Extract the download, copy and paste the 3 .sys files over the ones at C:\Windows\System32\

-------------

Also update the card's bios to newest too:

http://www.siliconimage.com/support/searchresults.aspx?pid=32&cat=15

Follow the instructions for BASE (IDE, non-RAID) version of the BIOS. It explains.

(3rd one down: "*Sil3132 BASE, SATARAID5 and system BIOS")

You can use the properties in the device manager to update this.

-------------

Test the machine overnight 8-10 passes with Memtest86+.

I re-did the

SiWinAcc SiWinAcc.sys Thu Jun 14 20:02:27 2007 has not been updated.
SiRemFil SiRemFil.sys Wed Jun 20 16:06:09 2007 has not been updated.
and am attaching a screenshot of them all showing 10/2007 as the updated date.

I really really really appreciate all of your help, Im just getting a little frustrated with myself, as it seems I'm doing something wrong.

Im a little lost....I downloaded and extracted the files...there are 3 files in there, I'm attaching a Screenshot of the folder...not really sure what to do with them after that. I'm not seeing instructions.

Again, I honestly apologize.

I just want to point something out...

I've been Idle and on the internet for over 30 mins now, no BSOD.

Seems to only BSOD now when I am running the World of Warcraft launcher, downloader.

In case you aren't familiar with WoW, I am not actually playing the game, it's just updating current content and putting in in the game files.

Would this point to a memory issue?

Good job, especially considering I forgot to put the /drivers folder in my previous post.

No doubt, you're very welcome.

Reboot if you have not done so yet.

Open the device manager. Double click the Storage controllers section. Then double click the Silicon Image entry. Go to Flash BIOS tab. Click browse then navigate to the folder you extracted to.

Now double click on b7703.bin. Then click the box to Program Flash.

If you have further crashes after updating the card's bios, test the memory overnight with Memtest86+.

If that shows errors, replace the RAM.

If it doesn't, take the Silicon Image card out of the machine and use it like that to see if bsods continue.

Then use the Windows Flash tool they provide:

http://www.siliconimage.com/docs/SiFlashTool.zip

Make a new folder at C:\ with the name SI

Extract the files in this download to C:\SI

Then copy b7703.bin. to that folder too.

Open an elevated command prompt and type this command then press enter (you can copy/paste to the prompt):

chdir /d C:\SI

Then this too:

SiFlashTool b7703.bin

opened an elelvated cmd prompt, and this is what I get...

Try this command instead in the process:

SiFlashTool C:\SI\b7703.bin

or

SiFlashTool /C:\SI\b7703.bin

or

SiFlashTool /b7703.bin
