I have an HP Pavilion zv5000 laptop and I cant seem to get audio or video drivers working for me for windows 7... can anyone help? thank you..

Have you tried Windows Update? Many drivers have been added there already 
The XP drivers are listed here, but they are quite old and might not work under Windows 7:

To get the right drivers, I'd need to know which graphics card you have as it seems this laptop can have an ATI or NVIDIA card.
The following audio driver might work for you - worth a shot I guess:
