Why does email formatting change after MSG to PDF conversion?

I recently converted several MSG emails into PDF format, but some emails lost their original formatting. Tables, images, and signatures did not appear correctly in the final PDF files. Since these emails are part of official documentation, maintaining the original appearance is important. Has anyone experienced similar issues? I would like to know what causes formatting problems and how they can be avoided during conversion.

Formatting changes usually happen when the converter does not read the MSG file structure properly. MSG emails can contain tables. inline images, HTML signatures, fonts and attachments. If the tool only extracts plain text or handles HTML poorly the final PDF may look different from the original email. For official records, avoid online or basic print to PDF methods. They often miss embedded images or break tables. First, open a few MSG files and check whether the email uses HTML formatting. Also keep a backup of the original MSG folder before conversion. One practical option is TrustVare MSG to PDF Converter. It lets you preview MSG files before export and converts emails with details like To, From, CC, BCC, Subject, Date, Time and attachments. Test 2–3 sample emails first. If the output looks correct, then process the full batch.
