So, not much new here....
I have been able to install Windows 7 32-bit, but that doesn't help me.
I've basically narrowed it down to being some sort of 64-bit issue.
My system seems to have decided that it wants nothing to do with any 64-bit OS.
I've even tried Ubuntu 64, with similar (non-functional) results.
???
i've tried installing a fresh copy of Win 7 32bit on a fresh hdd, I'm still having the same problem of hanging on start up? Any suggestions people, I don't want my housemate to go without WOW, i might just go insane.

If those of you who need help and such with your setups it would be a REALLY BIG HELP for those of us trying to figure things out if you would post your Computer Specs in the your User Account settings so we can see them under your avatars.

I know I may sound like an ol' Grump here but it really helps out.

I know that most of the Mods here would appreciate it!

And so would would the rest of us that are trying to help! I've always felt that listing your basic specs helps a lot. What may work for one brand of computer, may not for another.

And this isn't Remote Assistance here, unless it's agreed with between the two members (or mods).

A little basic info goes a long way, the more the better.
