Don't you like re-learning all your spellings ?

As a Canadian, I go through the same thing. The spell checker
on my newsreader, "Americanizes" my posts for me :)
I'm not allowed to enter "colour" here, because I'll
get a red line underneath the word. That's how they keep
me in line.
You misspelled "Americanises". <G>

I am Canadian, too, and I use British spellings by preference. If
I followed the misspelling indications, I would never get to use my
family name.

Labour to honour the U.

Sincerely,

Gene Wirchenko

Should be fine as long as the supplier doesn't provide you with a new Product Key.
- Unlikely, but if it does happen, you can change it via My Computer/Properties via the 'Change product key' option.

Hi all,

Recently purchased Windows 7, 64b, UK OEM. During installationI found that the DVD seemed to be at fault. Please not my prevous
post in this NG, "Can't install W7".
I contacted my supplier and they asked me to send the DVD back. It will be somewhere in the next week when I might receive a copy
ot the DVD. They will first have a look at the DVD.

This takes me too long.

Is anybody willing to send the ISO image of this DVD to me (W7 64b UK OEM) so I can already start the installation with my
product key?
Can be done by yousendit of by FTP to my server.

Many thanks beforehand.

Fokke Nauta
Thanks guys.

I managed to download the W7 UK Pro 64b ISO file, and I managed to install
Windows with my license. I am now able to work with it - after a while of
configuration :-(

Yes Ed, there are. In computershops in The Netherlands, and in online
computer stores, you can purchase a retail version or an OEM version,
whatever you prefer.
As I built my PC myself and all the parts came from the same online computer
supplier, I purchased the OEM version there.

Same here in the USA. I got the OEM version of Windows 7 Pro for this
computer at a retail store.

He just needs to use the key he already has. No problem.

That was an 'if' statement.
Seen it before...folks get a replacement OEM DVD with a new key, continue to successfully use the old one (having written it down),
store the media separate than the new key, then forget where they placed the documentationt. Later attempts to use the old key
fail.
