"This file came from another computer and might be blocked" - Windows7 Home Premium

Thanks to everyone who replied to this thread with suggestions.

Leading on from some of the links provided, sorry I can't recall which
link, I came across an old forum with enough information for me to write
my own registry hack. It seems to have solved the problem in that I now
have the same result I would have had if the local Group Policy editor
had been part of Win 7 Home.

If anyone is interested, this is the information I found and it's now
bookmarked for future problems.

Thanks again.

As another way to accomplish the same thing, I use the built-in Agent
feature where only selected text is brought forward when doing a
reply.

I use the F hotkey to reply to a post, so if I needed to include text
beyond a sig delimiter I'll simply do Ctrl-A to select everything,
then F to follow up.
Thanks, Ken & Char, for the info and hints.

I will add that I haven't set Dialog to ignore the delimiter (if it's
even possible there), so in my replies the sig should vanish.

And I have to admit I'm not charitable enough to try very hard to read
post-sig posts :)

You are lucky if you've never had this problem! Files can be from anywhere.

For a fuller explanation of the problem, see this link here:

Would it help to "take ownership" of the d/ls?

If yes, use the registry hack shown here:
http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/add-take-ownership-to-explorer-
right-click-menu-in-vista/

Works in Win 7 and can do multiple files at once.
