When my printer gets weird, I sometimes have to unplug it from power
and
ethernet (or USB) for a few minutes. It's probably best to do it with
the computer also off.

It doesn't happen often.

Thank you........I will try that and see if it sorts it out. I think I
am slightly more than half-networked, but the HP eprinter is not actively
on the network. I am glad I found you lot........I miss my MVP buds. (G)
Absolutely.

OK.....will download it. Hmm, I remember now that I used a heavy duty
one for Zone Alarm Pro, not Norton. But I am sure Norton must have one
because it practically takes over your computer.

Cheers.......Heather

They have several - be sure you pick the one that matches your version
of Norton.

It takes a bit of searching on the Symantec site, and (for some reason)
I don't have a handy URL, so I have to assign you the task of finding it
yourself :)

I had version 2011 which took some finding out on this end, what with it
being a trial for 60 days. Anyway, didn't take long on the Norton
website and I made sure it was the right tool. I took Norton out of
Add/Remove and then blasted it with the "obliterator". Felt
good........Avast is now happily ensconced on the laptop.

Just have to sort the printer scanner out and use the Classic Forge
thingie.

Thanks Gene........Heather

Yeah, it's amazing how good a person can feel after a successful run of
Norton Removal Tool :)

Glad you got it sorted.
