I keep all my WIP files on a seperate HDD on my W7 box. This box also doubles, with a differnt HDD, as my XP video editing box.
As I'm having a bit of bother compiling a DVD I want to share the drives that the avi files are stored on to another XP machine to compile them. Then I'll know wether it's W7 that's the problem.

Can I share an entire drive? Can I buggery!

Help!

I think you can access drive shares by using \\<servername>\C$ as long as the drive is shared properly.

I'm not 100% sure though, but it's worth a try!

Thanks spearace. I tried that and no luck!

However, after playing around for hours I've found that creating an individual folder on each drive and then putting them into another folder created in the 'Public' folder, the Share is allowed!

Just open "Public on name" in Network Places, drill down, and there you are! :)

Now, I've finally got me head round the 'Public' concept!
