Send-to-desktop question

I used to be able to create a shortcut on the desktop by right-click on a
folder in WinExplorer & selecting send-to-desktop. That option isn't
appearing in the menu list anymore -- where do I find it or get it back. Is
there a setting somewhere?

This happened recently & I've been doing it in Win7 just as I did in XP.

Try right clicking on the folder, then click on Create Shortcut in the
menu; then drag the shortcut to the desktop.

Or try right clicking on the folder, then drag it to the desktop. When
you release the mouse button, choose Create Shortcut Here from the menu.
