Mine does that as well, says Critically Low (434%) charge.
What does the device itself say? When the Sansa Express is fully charged it will say it has finished charging on the LED display, that's what I usually go by with mine.

The device itself works fine - Reports a full charge - Its the Sansa window that reports 4.34 times what it should - next time you start your charge divide the Critically Low Percentage by 4.34 and see if you get the correct charge. I did once and it seemed to be correct.

I just noticed that My Windows 7 Build 7229 is showing the correct charge for Sansa Express.
