And that has to be one of the most dramatic cases of typos... <g>
Indeed. I can understand the spell checker missing "seem", but
"hread"?

(I should know better than to post after midnight. I was having
trouble sleeping, but apparently part of my brain was in dreamland.)

choro

Agreed, but it's important to pronounce it correctly. The g's in gigabyte
are pronounced like the g's in 'get big dog'.
But some think it should be pronounced as the j in *jigijig*. Now who is
right, the *doggie style* group or the *jigijig* group?! ROLF !!!

I am, of course.

I am, of course.

I don't know how you pronounce it, but as far as I'm concerned, choro
(and many millions of others) is wrong. It's jigabyte. It's the same
prefix as is found in "gigantic" and many other such words. None of us
say "ghigantic" and we shouldn't say "ghigabyte" either.

I had fun with my above totally uninformative post, but in fact, I
totally agree with you for the exact same reason you give.

My aphorism for the situation is "saying ghigabyte would be a ghigantic
mistake". And since I've never written it before, I have taken full
advantage of the spelling you used :)
