Non-Win-user's save-as confusion.

By now it's clear that the most helpful thing I can do is to not try to
"help", as I call it, any further :)
Oh, don't do that, the group just wouldn't be the same :)

I hadn't taken much notice of the thread until I noticed your one liner
so I read upwards and that reminded me of my open dialogue that was
supposed to be a save.

I think it might have been a scanner program download. I was trying to
find something to drive my Umax Astra 1220U but it's too old, decided
to try it on my laptop running XP and it's fine with that.

One of the downloads opened it's own dialogue box instead of using the
one that normally appears at the bottom of the IE8 window and I think
that was it. I've tried everything else I can think of and just get the
normal dialogue box. Of course I could have been dreaming it :)
