Hi everyone: I've just joined. Forum name is The Mekon; real name is Alan.
Although I've been using and 'doing things' with Windows since the early days - and before that, in the days of MS-DOS - I've recently taken the plunge and have begun to see what Windows 7 has to offer: so I'm a raw beginner in that regard. (So stand-by for silly Qs.!) Having said that, I'm still regularly using Win_XP + SP3.
I'm now retired, having spent all my working life in various fields of electronics and PC maintenance. I live in Somerset.
That'll do for now - other bits 'n' pieces about me will probably become apparent as I ask questions here, primarily about Win_7.
