moviemaker and source video

Rumor has it that mm saves all source video on my hard drive. Okay you load a source video, edit it . then save your movie, discard the project. But what happens to the source video. talking about a big ol pile of bytes

In Movie Maker go toTools > Options, the General tab and it shows you the temporary folder

I think the actual project files would be the hidden .DAT files under %appdata%\..\local\Microsoft\Movie Maker

And the default for data is %appdata%\..\local\temp

But if you are looking to recover space I recommend installing and running CCleaner.
