Just wondering

If you consider that Win7 will be effective on HP 2009v 20" widescreen
TFT monitor supported by HP Pavilion p6203uk (PC World £499.99) as I am
tempted to buy this PC, which has Win7 installed.

Just a little background. In nearly ten years I have only used 6 GB of
20 GB on my old PC and future use will be similar. No gaming, big
downloads or music, except the odd visit to YouTube so I will have
masses of Ram (4GB)and hard drive (320GB), to say the least. If I don't
like the inbuilt speakers I can always get suitable ones.

Incidentally, PC World is quite near to where I live in Solihull and I
like direct contact.

Any views, cautionary or otherwise, very welcome.

Not sure what you mean by effective? Do you mean will you like the OS? Which
one have you been using?
I am very much an amateur at all this. Learning Vista from XP was a little
bit of a challenge, but with enough RAM it worked fine. When I first tried
Win-7 I liked it right from the start and it has so far been much easier to
learn. Bought Wife and one kid one for Christmas. Both of them had only been
using XP. The two of them took right to the new machines and love them.
With 4 Gig of RAM I suspect it also has a dual core processor? You should
be happy with it. For what you describe you are using it for it will do it
fine, and be able to do a lot more.
