It worked for Kristin.

Thanks for the lead, that almost solved my problems, but not all the way.

After changing a registry line from ...users\"me"\documents\bogus
to ...users\me\documents I noticed an improvement.

I then completed the instructions but there was still evil in the settings.

In desperation I searched my entire registry for documents\bogus and
found about eight of them. I looked at each and decided which of them to
delete the bogus part, my cat was very helpful in making the decisions.

A reboot or two proved that i was in better shape than before. I may
find some new problems but so far I'm happy.

Thanks again.

Just updated to IE9 64 bit Beta. Tried to access CBC Classical. No
sound. Yet I have been getting it no problem on Google Chrome! I was
hoping that IE9 would live up to the hype! But hell, NO!!!

CBC Classical is a lovely station for classical music lovers, BTW. First
came across it on iTunes. But you get more details of what is being
played and by who on connecting via the web rather than via iTunes.

Which part of "Beta" didn't you understand?

Damn it, you're letting logic get in the way of a perfectly good MS
bashing session. He even added in the oh so clever "M$" because that is
oh so original and clever!
Yeah. I keep getting hung up on the idea of being logical. Gotta get
over that.

BTW, I normally feel that anyone who must do the dollar sign trick is
not worth my attention. That is also why I spelled out the name of the
"evil corporation" in my reply - which you evidently picked up on :)

Heck, I seem to be running a beta version of my DNA...

And that's probably true of everyone (except Creationists and
Intelligent Designists, of course).
I'm carrying my dad's DNA, but at my age he'd been a company regimental
sergeant major in the Indian Army.

Nobody listens to me.

If the post is not worth your attention, why did you bother replying? After
all the M$ is in the subject line.

Thank you for your valuable contribution.

Thank you for your valuable contribution.
LOL

I noted that BR549 clipped where I said
"I normally feel that anyone who must do the dollar sign trick is
not worth my attention".

Perhaps he couldn't understand the conditional nature of the sentence.
Or the fact that "not worth" is not the equivalent of "doesn't
receive"...

Or is it a she? I'm not sure whether BR549 is a boy's name or a girl's
name, like Dale (or Gene).

Yeah, but you're really only carrying half of your dad's DNA, and the
rest (plus the mitochondria) is from your mother :)

Nobody listens to me either, in spite of the fact that I'm right 16% of
the time.

But I do find your heritage interesting. I hope you do too :)

Okay, but my feeling will be hurt.
LOL...

I noticed that my spell checker (which isn't great anyway) doesn't check
my grammar and semantics. I meant "decided", but it doesn't matter,
since I didn't answer your post anyway :)

Sorry about your feeling, but since I didn't answer, you won't care
anyway.

And what do you want me to do when I go to that page? Waste a couple of
hours looking for what it is that I need?

Sorry but I can't see any DOWNLOAD button anywhere on that page. And as
for links, which one? I clicked "view all links" and nearly passed out
when I saw something that was that disorganized. I give up!
