how to "remember each folder settings" in w7?

Maurizio

Hello:
I have several folders on Desktop, I switched recently to w7 and noticed
that there is no equivalent to old "remember each folder settings" (of
xp). If I maximize a folder, all subsequent opened folders get
maximized. If I resize a folder, all subsequent opened folders get
identically resized?

is there any trick to avoid that?
thank you

I think they took that feature out, maybe because it never worked reliably
so people complained about it and as usual Microsoft have trouble believing
that there are anything other than very minor bugs in their software and
just assumed it was a feature people couldn't get the hang of and they'd be
better off without it.

I had the same problem some time ago, there a Microsoft FixIt but this
didn't work for me. I now use a little program by the name shellfolderfix
and very good it is too. You can download it from this page on sevenforums

In my experience, it has worked, and continues to work, 100% reliably
with XP. There must be another reason why the feature was removed.
