SOLVED How to quiet a noisey HD?

Hmmm, clifford it doesn't give me the option to mark it solved, is this because I'm the last poster? If you could please mark it SOLVED.

I think I remember Ian telling me the location of the thread makes a difference. Let me move this to hardware and see if I have the option there.
