How to nail down the Win 7 icons in Explorer

Then why didn't he just say so?

I get annoyed with people who ask for help, then try to make you beg
for details. That game got old a long time ago. Remember "Valorie?"
To tell the truth, I suspect he thinks he did say so...

OTOH, I've been hoping to *forget* Valorie :)

I never ran XP. I think it was possible in Windows 2000, but I can't
even remember breakfast.
Corn flakes, a sliced banana, some sugar, & lo-fat milk. A glass of
orange juice to help swallow the vitamins, and a cup of coffee.

No, that's not what I had, it's just my idea of a joke ;-)

Nope. Try it. It applies the detail options to all folders, but not the
view option.
I don't know what that means (detail options vs view options??) but I
believe you if you say it doesn't do what the OP wants. I'm not at all
sure I understood the original request.

Yeah. When I read Crash's post, I was confused. I thought "Details" was
one of the possible View options...

I'm glad you were confused too. Now I feel less dumb...until the next
time :)

My thanks to all for your efforts.

Seems like we need to send Micro**** back to school :-(

In my case yes, but I sympathize with your 'no'...

I believe Seum wants to have Explorer always open in the List mode.
Bravo Gene! Right on the button.

Here it is again "Nail some one of them down to keep Explorer from
getting away, whenever it likes, from List. I like to keep that List
FIXED = nailed down :) "

It's the only one I want.

As bad as your English is, I'd bet it's better than I could do in your
native language. I'm glad you were able to communicate at last, but it
might be time to get a new translator. :)
