How to block flickering of ads in Chrome?

Sorry, I can't imagine what you must have done with your browsers to
break such a basic bit of functionality. Perhaps someone will chine in
with a fix. Could it be as simple as a PC reboot?
OK, I'll switch browsers and restart. Even better, I'll try it right
now, since I've rebooted since yesterday.

OK, Char, I'm back. I tried it. Guess who wins?

Hint: his initials are CJ.

Who knew?

Well, we can certainly answer that last question :)

BTW, my browser is Firefox 7.0.1. But I really thought it was not the
browser but the link. Apparently the browser was in a bad mood, it being
Monday and all that. And I was fiddling a lot with a couple of backup
programs, Macrium and EaseUS Todo. It's clearly time to blame the victim
(me).

Yes, I also assume that was the intent of what was said, but it is not
what was said.
I was able to parse the original quote correctly, but I can see how a
quick read might throw a person off.

Heh, thanks for coming clean. :) I knew it wasn't a problem with the
way I posted the link so that only left a few possibilities. ;-)

Personally I use neither IE, Firefox, nor Chrome. I greater prefer
Maxthon to all of them.
Well, you're just the coolest person ever then...

It's amazing how gently you can berate me :)

BTW, thanks for the lesson in URL formats.

......and don't forget to keep an eye out for IsoCrap.
Humm, been using Firefox/Mozilla/Netscape for over a decade, whats this
so-called "IsoCrap"? Perhaps it is self inflicted injury?

As you have already noticed I am regularly re-born and you were smart to
notice it, VLH. I'll have to resort to Russian, Gaelic, or similar ;-)

There were a lot of squirty movements that I found very distracting. A
stationary picture would not have bothered me. Undoubtedly those jerky
movements were designed to attract attention.

I had no problem installing Chrome. No extensions yet, as far as I could
see. I never fiddle with anti-virus progs. I am quite sure that there is
nothing unusual about the movements - they simply were squirting around
to get attention.

This one seems to squirt around much more often than Firefox, which I
have dumped, and with pleasure, for its introduction of crap progs.

Finally VLH, thank you for solving my Fax and Scan prog. I could not
have found it without you. After a couple of hours of work at Micro****
I still hadn't found your solution. I suggest you go to Micro****, teach
them, and then take over the place. :)
I forgot to mention that I did get the blinking completely snuffed just
before Chrome was about to stop me. I ignored that attempt and I now
have an almost blissful life with no ads.
