SOLVED How do I set up Word 2007 to start with settings of my choosing

I try to work in Word 2007 and I'm getting better, but setting up bugs me. I want a particular font, the line spacing set to 1.0, in "page layout," all spacing set to 0 and narrow margins. Now I'm not stressing over font because sometimes another style would be more suitable (though I would like to set Times New Roman as my default), but I would really like to be able to open a Word doc to my specifications. I've played and played with it and I spend too much time at this keyboard to be constantly reinventing the wheel.

Gads, trying to get help from any of MS's sites is like pulling teeth on this computer. The sites load and load and load and never load! Can someone please answer this question.
