In this case, I'd have to assume the Trojan writer wants to damage
the reputation of Asus. I can't imagine them "advertising" this
way. That doesn't make a lot of sense.
I don't believe it's a trojan. I think it's probably a third-party
anti-malware program that's locked the home page to what the vendor set
it at. The original poster has been asked to check that and to supply
more details, but he has declined to address the question.
