Our company has decided to standardize on Microsoft 365, so we're preparing to move several hundred Google Workspace accounts over the next few weeks. Besides Gmail, we're also migrating contacts, calendars, personal Drive files, and Shared Drives. The migration itself is only part of the project—the bigger concern is ensuring that employees don't lose access to important business information or experience disruptions once they start using Outlook and other Microsoft 365 services.

We've been researching different ways to migrate Google Workspace to Office 365, but most online resources cover only basic migration scenarios. Since we're working in an enterprise environment, we need features like batch account processing, secure authentication, incremental migration, detailed reporting, resume capability, and advanced filtering. Our current plan is to migrate one department at a time, compare mailbox statistics, verify random user accounts, and confirm that folders, labels, and attachments have transferred correctly before moving to the next batch.

While evaluating migration strategies, I realized that maintaining a complete Google Workspace to Office 365 Migration Tool workflow before starting the migration is equally important. Having a verified backup provides an additional recovery option if users discover missing information after the migration. It also gives administrators more confidence during validation because the original data remains safely archived throughout the project. For organizations handling compliance-sensitive information, this seems like a practical step rather than an optional precaution.

During my research, I also found the G Suite Backup Tool from DRS Softech among several enterprise migration solutions. Before choosing any platform, I'd like to hear from administrators who have completed similar Google Workspace migrations.

What validation process worked best after your migration? Did you compare mailbox counts, manually review folders, or rely on migration reports? I'd appreciate any practical advice before we begin our production rollout.
