Copying backup files

I think I must have mis-read "5 Desktop", which does appear on the
page... (a senior moment).
I just did my usual C: backup with SP. It took 14 minutes. I also did
a Windows backup of C: with a system backup. It took about an hour.
Both to the same HDD. What on earth is Windows doing that makes it so
slow? Copying empty space?

Was the SP backup a full backup, or an incremental/differential? Was
the Windows backup a "complete" backup (image) or a file backup?

You'll be aware that file backup programs mark the files they copy (the
Archive attribute) so running two backup programs needs to be thought
through very carefully.

SP was a full backup of c:. Windows was an image plus backup of C:

It was just an experiment. I don't use Windows backup. SP does not
care about files being marked; it images volumes.
