Once you've connected the printer via USB (and given your PC a minute or two), can you try going to Start > Devices and Printers and see if your printer shows up there? Is this the first time it has been connected, or has it worked up until now?
It should install the drivers automatically for this printer once it has been detected, but you can try manually installing the drivers if you'd like:
