Bought mine for the same in Costco, so it might be a superstore price.
All I need now is to get a working serial number.((

And why wasn't a Product key (which I presume you mean by "serial number")
found inside the case?

I bought Windows Vista upgrade to Windows 7 from Comet for £58.95.
The box comes with DVDs for both 32 and 64 bit systems.

It was, but seems to bear little relation to the stuff on the disk at
insertion time in the install process.

If you open the plastic case, remove the little booklet on the left hand
side, the Product key should be on a yellow sticker attached to the back
of the front cover...

he's got an iMacSo £30 copy here we come - and thanks for the
suggestion!
(Bit elitist that you have to be a uni student though - don't high school
students count?)

Burning music on Media Player doesn't work.
I wonder if Win7 is like that too.
I heard that the student version is distributed as a download and as an .exeRich said:Windows 7 Student Upgrade is 100% functional, available as Home Premium &
Pro for the same price (hint: take the pro) &, of course, can be clean
installed. All you need is a functional e-mail address ending in *.edu.
There is no transcript checking, etc.
