Our organization is planning to replace Outlook with Google Workspace, and one of my biggest responsibilities is migrating several hundred PST archives collected over the years. These files contain business-critical emails, contracts, invoices, customer conversations, and project documentation, so preserving every mailbox exactly as it exists today is extremely important. We also need to retain folder hierarchy, attachments, contacts, timestamps, and other metadata because multiple departments still rely on historical emails for daily operations.
While researching different approaches, I found several methods to import PST to Google Workspace, but I'm unsure which one scales best for enterprise environments. Google's native utility seems fine for smaller migrations, but our environment includes large PST files and multiple user archives. We're looking for a solution that supports batch migration, mailbox preview, selective migration, duplicate handling, and detailed reporting so every mailbox can be verified before employees start using Gmail. We're also planning pilot migrations to identify authentication or mapping issues before moving production users.
