When Windows 7 loads I'm now getting this error message: Problem Status -- The wintms32.rom. The specified module could not be found.

How can I 'find' this or get it back or reloaded/reinstalled? I've tried restoring to a much earlier time -- long before I started getting this error message -- I still get the same result each time I start the computer.

I am not aware of any official file by that name- not to say there may be one. But I would suspect a virus.
But look under the startup tab in msconfig, and see if you have anything starting there which looks suspicious. You could try unticking a few unknowns, singly, to see if you get rid of the message.
Post up a copy of what you have under the tab, and members here may be able to identify the problem.

I'm with Dave on this - it sounds like a virus - either one that is there at the moment, or one that was remove but some traces remain intact. It could be a Nebuler trojan varient.

Which anti-virus do you have installed at the moment?
