Win7 setup problem - please help

i tried to do clean install win7 home premuim on ASUS A55VD and its stuck on creating new primary partition.
cant make any partition at all.
dont know what to do now

Does it even see your hard drive? Was it a working hard drive before this? What was on the hard drive before ... Linux maybe? Or did it stop working so you are trying a reinstall? Did you ever see a S.M.A.R.T. drive warning from this hard drive?

I would recommend formatting your hard drive (or writing zeros would be better)

This will make sure that all data is written over, which should allow for a smoother clean install

Ben, if there is no partition then there is nothing to format

Had a similar issue with a customer's laptop. Found out the drive was toast.
