Where did my Back up Files go?

I recently installed a new 1TB hard drive in my wife's new laptop. Everything was so cluttered and so slow in the old laptop, I decided to do a clean install of Windows 7 Home Premium on the new laptop drive. First off, I did a back up of all her important files to a folder on my desk top computer over our home network, because the last of the USB ports on her old computer got broken. There was over 200GB of files to transfer, so it took 2 days to transfer to my PC, then over 2 days to restore it to the new computer. I made a new file on her new laptop called Rose Backup, and sent the back up to that folder. It finished sometime last night, so today I opened the folder and it was empty??? C drive is showing that there is over 300GB of data on it, but I can't seem to find where it is. Where did it go??
