unable to disconnect from my wifi

I am unable to disconnect from my wifi internet because every time I try to click the wireless connection icon in the system tray, nothing happens!!!!! it won't bring up the available connections!!!! and right-clicking the icon WILL NOT bring up the context menu!!!!! other icons and context menus work just fine!!!! but not the wireless connections icon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have you installed the driver from the wireless adapter's manufacturer or are you using stock drivers from Microsoft?
