My machine has an "ECS ELITEGROUP A780GM-A Black Series" mother board, AMD Athlon x2 6000 3.1GHz processor, four sticks of 1 Gig Crucial Ballistix 1066MHz RAM, and my OS is Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit.

The system only reads 3 Gigs of RAM, i have tried each slot and each stick of RAM individually and they all work.

What could be the problem?

The problem is that you are running a 32 bit operating system. A 32bit system will not recognise all the ram due to its limitations, usually it will max out at 2.75GB to 3.5GB depening system to system on how that RAM is allocated. To make full use of all your RAM you would need to run a x64 bit operating system.
